Small but cozy rooms with stunning mountain views provide a perfect backdrop for relaxation after a long day. Locally sourced food offers a satisfying menu that strikes a balance between hearty and interesting, making every meal worth the effort.
The lack of some basic amenities, like hand soap in the bathroom, can catch you off guard, though it's not the end of the world. Some rooms show signs of wear. my door creaked like the Millennium Falcon on a rough hyperspace jump, and the bathroom lighting left much to be desired. you might want to check the TV signal. it played hide and seek during my stay, but who needs it when you're surrounded by nature's beauty anyway?

A hidden gem in the countryside!
What a fab spot! After a tiring day walking, we found cozy vibes and spotless rooms. Sean, Sian, and their mom were super friendly and accommodating. The food was delish, and they even drove us to a pub for dinner. Only thing was the Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room. Still, highly recommend this place!

I loved how the hosts picked me up and dropped me off the next day, making my trip a breeze. The spacious room let me unwind, and I enjoyed a fantastic breakfast to kickstart my day. Only thing was, I noticed a lack of soap in the bathroom, but it wasn't a big deal since I had my own. just a bit odd! 👍

We had a delightful stay at this charming farm, where the owner was extremely attentive. He even took us to see the nearby Roman museum, which was a highlight for our family, especially with the baby in tow. The fresh air and countryside views were just what we needed.
My kids wished for more kid-friendly activities available on-site.

The welcoming atmosphere created by Sian and Sean made our stay memorable. Home cooked meals, especially the breakfast, were delightful and definitely a highlight.
The room felt a bit cramped for two adults.

Great value for weary travelers
I was welcomed with a large pot of tea after a long day of hiking which felt like a slice of heaven. The food was unexpected, like a fine dining experience, especially that apple and raspberry crumble, the best I've ever had!
It's not the least expensive place but very fair for what you get.

comfortable stay in a serene setting
The breakfast served was freshly cooked with a variety of local ingredients which made for a delightful start to the day. Our host readily shared tips on exploring the nearby Hadrian's Wall, which enriched our visit.
The decor in our room could use some updating as it felt a bit dated.

The stay was fantastic! The welcome from the hosts was warm and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The three-course dinner was a delightful surprise, beautifully presented, and incredibly tasty! Add to that the comfortable king-sized bed and a hearty full English breakfast, and it was hard to find anything to fault.
